Blizzard’s sphere of influence knows no bounds as Swedish health care and beauty company Oriflame’s recent Russian shampoo men’s fragrance ad confirms. See if you can spot the World of Warcraft influence.

If your memory is hazy, Blizzard’s epic frosty trailer for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is embedded below. As egear points out, Russian figure skater Evgeni Plushenko does a pretty flamboyant version of Arthas in the Glacier Ice perfume-shilling spot, much shorter than its World of Warcraft influence.

Sure, freeing a giant bottle of cologne from its icy tomb with your dainty skate blade isn’t exactly the same as unleashing a dragon skeleton with the aide of Frostmourne, but I think you’ll see the similarities.

A few shot-to-shot comparisons capped by egear might drive the point home.

World of Warcraft, for one,www.asiareplica.com, welcomes its new russian batman overlord. [egear - thanks, apismenny!]
